Many of you have been asking for an update on iScrip.  Beta testing has started and is going extremely well.  Scrip 2000 has always been the easiest to learn, most convenient to use and complete reporting scrip tracking software application on the market.  Scrip 2000 is an enigma in software application both intricate (in detail) and simple (to use).  That is why we purchased it in 2005.  However, replicating that intricacy, thoroughness and simplicity in a web based application has been no easy task.  However, we are almost there. 

 

Keep in mind this is no "Just in Time" application that assumes NO INVENTORY.  iScrip is a comprehensive package that will allow you to stock and maintain inventory, cash boxes, scrip market days as well as other non-traditional scrip sales.  Further, you can create and input scrip to allow for renewable grocery card's for which you get separate reports.  iScrip allows you to input the receipt of your scrip and when your organization gets a back order it automatically produces back order sheets for those families ordering the scrip that hasn't arrived yet.  iScrip creates order forms you or your families can print off and use.  All the reports of Scrip2000 have been replicated and THEN SOME.  It will export the data to applications such as Excel.  Together with the most sophisticated filtering process for these reports iScrip gives you complete control over format and hard copy printing.  Your families will appreciate the ONE MENU shopping cart...every scrip is listed.  NO complex menu system through which to navigate with inapplicable or just flat wrong categories of scrip.  One click and you have every piece of scrip available for sale.

 

iScrip is an online application available for administration and maintenance where ever there is internet access.  iScrip allows the administrator to set up families with internet access to order online thus eliminating data entry work and mistakes.  Uniquely though, it still gives the administrators the ability to input hard copy orders from those families who lack internet savvy or access.  iScrip allows unlimited scrip suppliers, vendors and denominations.  While iScrip allows users to order from any supplier, it allows all programs to "one-click" order from NOSA.SO AFTER YOUR FAMILIES ARE DONE ORDERING YOUR ORDER TO NOSA IS ONE...that’s right 1...MOUSE CLICK AWAY WITH NO MORE DATA ENTRY!  iScrip is keyboard driven as well.  You can use your mouse or touch pad to navigate the menus but inputting the data on orders can be done with tab/enter and number keys.  Like Scrip 2000 you can enter average orders (5-7 line items) at the rate of 3 to 4 a minute.....TRY AND DO THAT WITH A MOUSE!

 

Because of this intricate relationship with the NOSA data base every update to any scrip (in denomination, percentage or availability) AUTOMATICALLY happens in your database just by you approving the change with one mouse click.  You will have an option of notifying your families with e-mail addresses automatically of these changes.

 

Importantly, iScrip tells you the exact state of your inventory...Quantity on hand, Quantity on Order, Quantity on Back Order as well as Total Inventory.  iScrip can be set up to tell you when inventory needs attention and those standards can be different for each and every piece in your inventory.
